HUNTINGTON BEACH, California/USA (Thursday, August 2, 2012) ? The Nike US Open of Surfing, the final stop on the ASP Women?s WCT, is back on this morning in clean one-to-three foot waves and today?s schedule will see the ASP Top 17 take to the water for Round 4 action.
The Nike US Open of Surfing, the final installment on the ASP Women?s WCT, has already played host to some dramatic action, as several of the ASP Top 17?s requalification campaigns rely directly on their performances in Huntington Beach.
?We?re scheduled to run women?s Round 4 first thing this morning,? Dave Shipley, ASP Women?s WCT Head Judge said. ?We?ll follow with men?s and junior?s competition to wrap up the day. Best of luck to all of our competitors.?
Up first this morning will be Tyler Wright (AUS), 18, vs. Malia Manuel (HAW), 18, in the opening Round 4 heat.
While the action in the water is guaranteed to provide plenty of entertainment, the Nike US Open of Surfing, owned and operated by IMG, a global leader in sports and entertainment, is part of a major action sports festival that includes skateboarding, music, art and more.
