Waimea Valley Fundraiser on November 24
Keep the North Shore Country's Second Annual Dinner Party and Silent Auction will be held at the Waimea Valley Audubon Center on Saturday, November 24, 2007.
This is our biggest fundraising event of the year and a great evening of food, music and fun. Special thanks to Waimea Valley Grill for their outstanding catering service, to the generous folks providing the art, surfboards and other valuable items for the silent auction and to the volunteers who help make the event such an enjoyable evening.
Make reservations online and get more details at www.keepthenorthshorecountry.org.
Seating is limited, so book early. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Matching Donations - Fundraising Drive
Donations from individual supporters will be matched by an anonymous donor through the end of this year. Please contact us before donating amounts larger than $5000.
Mounting legal campaigns is very expensive, so contributions, large and small are very much appreciated. Other than the legal fees and some advertising expenses, our overhead is extremely small. The Directors receive no salary and volunteer their time and talents.
Read the Appeal Brief - It's Good!
Our appeal brief was filed in September. The City and Kuilima have until early December to submit their Answering Briefs and we will have another three weeks to Reply to their briefs. Then all of the documents will be reviewed by the Judges on the Intermediate Court of Appeals.
The brief clearly shows how the City failed to follow Hawaii Environmental Law by not taking a "Hard Look" at whether or not a Supplemental EIS is needed for the Turtle Bay Resort Expansion Project.
Read the brief - at least the introduction - at www.keepthenorthshorecountry.org.
