LOWER TRESTLES, San Clemente/California (Monday, September 17, 2012) – The Hurley Pro at Trestles will recommence this morning with Round 2 starting at 8am.
Event No. 6 of 10 on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour (WCT), the Hurley Pro at Trestles saw big performances throughout yesterday’s Round 1 and will look to complete the elimination Round 2 today.
“We have clean conditions this morning and we’ll start Round 2 at 8am,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “The surf is projected to maintain in the three-to-four foot (1 metre) range throughout the day and winds should be favorable. Good luck to all our competitors today.
Up first this morning will be current ASP WCT No. 2 Joel Parkinson (AUS), 31, against wildcard Conner Coffin (USA), 19, in the opening heat of Round 2.

Fading, but fun size, South-southwest and south-southeast swell mix prevails today. Solid south swell will build in and be strongest Wed/Thur, with a building trend in the afternoon on Tuesday and an easing trend Friday. Fun size SW swell is on track for the weekend. Conditions today through Friday will be favorable with light morning wind and light to moderate onshore flow in the afternoons.
