BELLS BEACH, Victoria/Australia (Tuesday, April 3, 2012) ? Clean three-to-four foot (1 metre) waves are on offer at the primary venue of Bells Beach this morning, prompting event organizers to call a 7:30am commencement for Round 1 of the Rip Curl Women?s Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford Fiesta.
Event No. 2 of 7 on the 2012 ASP Women?s World Championship Tour, the Rip Curl Women?s Pro Bells Beach will host the world?s best female surfers are the vie for prize money, ASP ratings? points and the honor of ?ringing the bell? come event?s end.
?The surf is filling in this morning and we have some good-looking sets coming through,? Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. ?We have scheduled the women to commence at 7:30am with Round 1 and have put Round 1 of the men?s on standby. As always, we?ll monitor conditions throughout the day and make adjustments accordingly. Good luck to all our competitors today.?
