2012 ASP World Longboard Champion to be Crowned Today at CITIC PACIFIC ShenZhou Peninsula Pro :: Pro Surfing News

WANNING, Hainan Island/China (Thursday, November 29, 2012) – The 2012 CITIC PACIFIC ShenZhou Peninsula Pro hosted by Wanning is back on for the third day in a row with clean 2 – 3 foot (1 – 1.5 meter) waves on offer. Eight Quarterfinalists remain in the draw and in a few hours one of them will be crowned the 2012 ASP World Longboard Champion.

“We will be finishing the event and giving out the ASP World Longboard Title today,” Contest Director Dane Jordan said. “The wave are looking good once again this morning, it’s an exciting day. The winner of the event will be the first Men’s ASP World Longboard Champion to be crowned in China, it’s an historic day!”

A call will be made at 7am for a possible 7:30 start and it’s likely that the ASP World Longboard Champion will br crowned tomorrow.
