Joel Parkinson (AUS), 31, current ASP WCT No. 2, will take on wildcard Wiggolly Dantas (BRA), 22, in Round 2 of the Quiksilver Pro France.
LA GRAVIERE, Hossegor/France (Sunday, September 30, 2012) – The Quiksilver Pro France is back on this morning with the remaining three heats of Round 1 commencing 8:15am in three-to-five foot (1 – 1.5 metre) waves at the primary site of La Graviere.
Event No. 7 of 10 on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour, the Quiksilver Pro France completed the opening nine of 12 Round 1 heats on Friday and will look to complete the round this morning. Round 2 has been put on standby for a possible start if proper conditions maintain.
“We have some good barrels coming through this morning so we’ll be recommencing competition at 8:15am this morning,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We plan on completing Round 1 and have put Round 2 on standby for a possible start today.”
Up first this morning will be Jordy Smith (ZAF), 24, Heitor Alves (BRA), 30, and Adam Melling (AUS), 27, in Heat 10 Round 1 of the Quiksilver Pro France.
