2012 ASP WCT rookie Yadin Nicol (AUS), 26, will take on local standout Jeremy Flores (FRA), 24, in Round 2 of the Quiksilver Pro France.
LA GRAVIERE, Hossegor/France (Tuesday, October 2, 2012) – Round 2 of the Quiksilver Pro France will commence this afternoon at 3:35pm in shifting three-to-five foot (1.5 – 2 metre) barrels at the primary site of La Graviere.
Event No. 7 of 10 on the 2012 ASP World Championship Tour (WCT), the Quiksilver Pro France plays a crucial role in both the hunt for the 2012 ASP World Title as well as the requalification campaigns of the world’s best surfers. Event organizers can complete up to six heats of Round 2 before day’s end.
“Conditions have become much more manageable this afternoon and we’ll be starting Round 2 at 3:35pm,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We’ll monitor conditions carefully, but we have enough daylight to finish up to six heats. Good luck to all our competitors this afternoon.”
Up first this afternoon will be current ASP WCT No. 2 Joel Parkinson (AUS), 31, up against wildcard Wiggolly Dantas (BRA), 22, in the opening heat of Round 2.
