FLORIANOPOLIS, Santa Catarin/Brazil (Tuesday, October 15, 2013) – Adriano de Souza (BRA), 26, has been a tour de force in the surfing world ever since he exploded onto the international scene with a win at the ASP World Junior Championships in 2003 – he was 16 at the time.
Two years later, in 2005, De Souza won the then-ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) and qualified for the big leagues in 2005. After two years of finding his footing, De Souza exploded into the Top 10 in 2008 and has remained there as a perennial threat to the world surfing crown ever since. In addition to his accomplishments in the water, De Souza has proven himself an astute entrepreneur, most recently evidenced in the launching of his personal application on smart phones and tables.

The main feature, other than having information and news of Adriano’s day-to-day life, is the ability to follow live updates about all the ASP competitions that Adriano participates in.
The leader of the “Brazilian Storm”, a name given by the young generation of the athletes of Brazil, Adriano de Souza (Pena, Red Bull, Oakley, Mitsubishi, SkullCandy and Ritmo Mundo), presented the news to his fans this Tuesday: his first official smartphone and tablet application.
Developed by BB Tech Center Recife, the application “Adriano de Souza” contains a biography of Adriano, his awards and sponsors, social feeds of the athlete such as Instagram and his personal blog. In addition to the constant news updates, the best thing about the application is the delivery of exclusive interviews, photos and videos from tournaments all around the world and his livestreaming of it.
“I love technology and I am very happy to be launching one more media platform!” announces Adriano. “This way, I can keep my fans close to my achievements, as well as this being a way for them to participate more in my day-to-day life. I believe I’m the first professional surfer to enter this area of technology, and I hope I am on the right path.”
