SAO PAULO, Brasil (Monday, February 25, 2013) – Guaraná Antarctica, a beverage brand known for believing and investing in the new Brazilian talent, has signed, through IMX Talent, a sponsorship contract with the surfer Gabriel Medina. This is one more way for the brand to motivate the carrier of a new sport’s start. In addition to the surfer, Guaraná Antarctica is also sponsor of the Football Brazilian Team and the young talents Neymar and Lucas.
From São Sebastião, São Paulo, the athlete was the youngest Brazilian to join the ASP World title group, restrict to the 36 best surfers in the world. When he was 15 years old, Gabriel won his first step on the Surf Mundial (ASP), becoming the youngest athlete to win this test. In the latest two years, Gabriel had an impressive growth, winning some of the main tests in the world, as the WQS six stars in France and Spain. In 2012 he finished the year among the seven best surfers in the world.

The contract with the 19 year old young surfer, which lasts until 2015, observes the participation of the athlete in advertisement campaigns, promotional actions and events. Guaraná Antarctica rewarded Gabriel with a customized professional jetski for training and will be present in the competitions board.
