SURFERS PARADISE, QLD/Australia (Wednesday, February 27, 2013) - It’s less than 24 hours until the world’s best surfers gather at the QT Hotel in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The 2013 ASP World Surfing Awards will celebrate the achievements and performances from last year, while at the same time officially launching the 2013 Men’s and Women’s ASP World Championship Tours.
The 2013 ASP World Surfing Awards have set a new record for the amount of people the LIVE broadcast will reach, going into tens of millions via Globosat in Brazil, MCS Extrême in Europe and select African countries, Fuel TV in Australia, Time Warner Cable in the US and Hawaii online via Red Bull.TV. The online broadcast will feature a five to ten minute pre-awards blue carpet highlights reel.
The online broadcast and Fuel TV Australia show will begin at 9pm local time, 10:30 am in France on MCS Extrême, Globosat in Brazil will air from 8am to 9:30 and from 3pm on Time Warner Cable in the US and Hawaii.
