WANNING, Hainan Island, China (Thursday, November 28, 2013): Strong offshore winds and a clean well lined up 3 feet (1 meter) swell in China sets the scene for a big day of surfing at the Riyue Bay ASP World Longboard Championships hosted by Wanning.
“We expect good waves throughout today which might build a little so we will attempt to run Rounds 3, 4 and 5 and narrow field to the Quarter Finalists by days end. Good luck to all competitors today” said Contest Director Dane Jordan.
Opening heat of Round 1 sees Nelson III Ahina (HAW) against Steve Newton (USA).
