Brazil’s Peterson Crisanto took part in the Los Cabos Open of Surf morning expression session. The goofy-footer will surf in Heat 14 of the Round of 96.
ZIPPERS, Los Cabos/Mexico (Monday, June 17, 2013) – Competition has been called off for the opening day of the ASP 6-Star Los Cabos Open of Surf, with small one-to-two foot waves on offer at Zippers.
The Los Cabos Open of Surf’s ASP 6-Star status will play a crucial role in surfers’ qualification campaigns for the 2014 ASP World Championship Tour, and several of the most talented up-and-coming competitors from around the globe have flocked to Los Cabos to compete at the iconic Mexican pointbreak of Zippers this week.
“We’ve got small surf this morning and have decided to call competition off for today,” Brian Robbins, ASP North America Tour Manager said. “We’ve got time in the waiting period to wait for improved conditions and the forecast looks good as the week progresses. We’ll be back at Zippers tomorrow morning with plans of starting Round 1.”
When Los Cabos Open of Surf competition begins, Leandro Usuna (ARG), Flavio Nakagima (BRA), Halley Batista (BRA) and Carlos Ramos (MEX) will face off in Heat No. 1 of the Round of 144.
