American up-and-comer Cam Richards will take to the water in Round 1 of the HD World Junior Championships Today.
JOAQUINA BEACH, Florianopolis/BRA (Tuesday, October 29, 2013) - After two consecutive lay-days, the HD World Junior Championships has been called on in clean four-to-six foot (1.5 metre) waves at Joaquina Beach in Florianopolis, Brazi. Today’s proceedings will see the completion of Men’s Round 1 with Round 2 and Women’s Round 1 on standby for this afternoon.
“The conditions have cleaned up a lot from yesterday and we’re going to start with Men’s Round 1 today,” Luli Pereira, ASP World Junior Championships Head Judge said. “We’re planning on a full day of competition and will keep Round 2 and the Women’s Round 1 on standby for this afternoon.”
Up first this morning will be Vasco Ribeiro (PRT), Kan Watanabe (JPN), Vehiatua Prunier (PYF) in opening heat of the Men’s HD World Junior Championships.
