The iconic beachbreaks of South-West France have failed to produce contestable conditions since Friday.
SEIGNOSSE Le Penon, France (Monday, September 30, 2013) – The Quiksilver Pro France has been called OFF again today due to the lack of surf on offer along the South-West coast of France.
Event No.8 of 10 on the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour, the Quiksilver Pro France has completed the first two rounds of competition in excellent surf on the opening days of it’s waiting period and has suffered an unusual three consecutive lay days since.
“The lack of swell forced us to call competition OFF again today,” Richie Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “Forecasts show a clear improvement with a building swell throughout tomorrow and waves for the rest of the waiting period, we will be back tomorrow morning to re-assess conditions and hopefully see the event start again soon.”
When competition resumes, up first will be Taj Burrow (AUS) against Alejo Muniz (BRA).
