LOWER TRESTLES, San Clemente, CA (Tuesday, September 17, 2013) - Round 3 of the Hurley Pro at Trestles is ON in clean one-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at Lower Trestles with Round 4 currently on standby for an afternoon call.
Stop No. 7 of 10 on the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour, the Hurley Pro at Trestles completed Rounds 1 and 2 on the opening two days of the waiting period and despite smaller conditions, the world’s best surfers have delivered electric performances on the lefts and rights at Lowers.
“We’ve made the call to start Round 3 at 8am this morning,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “We’re expecting conditions to improve throughout the day and while the surf is small, it is contestable and we’ll capitalize on the best conditions we have on offer for our window.”
Up first this morning will be Jordy Smith (ZAF), 25, up against Brett Simpson (USA), 28, in the opening heat of Round 3.
